National Acclaim
- In 2012, 86% of 7th grade Gifted/Scholastic Academy students qualified for Duke Talent Search (scored at or above the 95th percentile on a nationally recognized, norm-referenced test and invited to take the SAT or ACT).
- 58% of 2013 National Merit Semifinalists at Baton Rouge Magnet High attended middle school at Glasgow.
- Since 1998, Glasgow has represented Louisiana at the National MATHCOUNTS Competition every year, with two Glasgow students placing 1st in the nation (2011 and 2005).
- A student was named a 2011 William and Dorothy C. Bevan Scholar for earning a perfect score on one or more sections of the SAT or ACT. Only 41 of the 65,000 participants, worldwide, earned this distinction.
- In 2012, one 7th grade student earned a 35 on the math section of the ACT. A score of 36 is a perfect score.
- In 2012, Glasgow's Knowledge Master Open Quiz Bowl Team placed 11th in the nation among 565 middle school teams.
Diverse, High Achieving Student Body
- More than 265 students enrolled in Gifted/Scholastic Academy/Great Scholars/Talented programs
- Students representing more than 50 different cultures/countries
- Glasgow offers 13 high school credit classes: Algebra I & II, Geometry, Advanced Math, Physical Science, World History-Honors, Computer Science I, French I & II, Spanish I & II, and Latin I & II. Each student can earn up to 8 high school credit units.
- A Glasgow student placed 3rd in the 2012 Space Foundation Student Art Contest among over 1,500 entries from 17 U.S. states and worldwide.

State and Local Honors
- Glasgow student named EBR Parish Student of the Year, 2012
- Glasgow's Earth Day team, G-Force, won 1st place overall and 1st place in the middle school division of 2012 Exxon Mobil Earth Day Science Challenge.
- Glasgow named top school in the Junior Division at the 2012 Region VII Science and Engineering Fair at LSU. Glasgow students won 1st and 2nd place awards overall, and a total of five 1st-place awards, eight 2nd-place awards, and six 3rd-place awards.
Student Opportunities Outside of the Classroom
- Field trips to places including Disney World, Louisiana Interferometer Gravitational Observatory (LIGO), Vicksburg, Honey Island Swamp, downtown Baton Rouge, Finance Park and ExxonMobil Engineering.
- A variety of sports and extracurricular activities, including Youth Legislature, Beta Club, 4-H, Science Olympiad, MATHCOUNTS, Quiz Bowl, Student Council and more.
